Formed in 1991, Caustic released two demos in 1991 (An Integral Sense) and 1992 (Timid Reality). In 1993 Caustic recorded two songs for a mini CD, which was released in 1995. In 1997 the band split up. Reunion happened in 2011, where the band started playing concerts again and new material saw the light of day in 2012. Beautiful, haunting, and incredibly engaging. I'm listening to this and looking out the window at snow falling -what could be more perfect? An incredible record; highly recommended. It's truly beautiful, and that's not a word I often use for metal, but this is powerful stuff.

Old school Death Metal in its purest form. Thanks to Transcending Obscurity for this little gem. Found it on Bandcamp Friday. The clean singing part in „Rot of Ages“ is epic - i did not expecting this. Highly recommended for everyone who loves old school Death Metal!
